Wood Pieces for Capital Letters - 26 pcs.
This Basic Set consists of four shapes: 6 little lines, 8 big lines, 6 small curves, and 6 large curves with the size of the pieces to equivalent to the pieces from HWT. Use this set to form and teach all capital letters of the alphabet.
(Note: the capital D show in the picture is 10 inches high)

This set includes the pieces needed to make one lower-case letter at a time and includes 26 letter cards to show how to lay the pieces.

Contains 16 pcs. for making upper-case and 19 for lower-case letters. Extra pieces are added so letters are in proper proportion. Make one letter at a time with this set. Letter cards for upper and lower case are included.

Double Chalkboard
(available early December)The writing surface of this chalkboard is 4" x 6" in a sturdy wood frame and is useable on both sides. Same size as the one in the Handwriting Without Tears program. The activities using chalk improve children's finger dexterity, helping them to develop a good pencil grip. Writing correct chalk strokes prepares children for pencil strokes.
Capital Letter Cards for Wood Pieces
These are ideal for children who are learning capital letters. This set includes 26 one-sided cards that show a capital letter formed with the wood pieces and are used to teach the stroke sequence for forming the letter. This product is by Easy Handwriting.
Mat for wood pieces
This mat measures 8 1/2" x 11". By following the teacher's demonstration, children place the wood pieces on the mat to make capital letters. They learn to make all capital letters correctly - right side up, in the correct sequence of pieces, and facing the right way. It may also be used with the small letter set and for the body of Mat Man.

NEW - Wood pieces and the mat man kit are all made in my shop. Included are two hands, two special eyes, nose, mouth and a heart, 4 big lines, 3 little lines, 2 big curves and 2 little curves and a special blue mat. (Please note this vinyl mat does not have a smiley face like the mat you get from HWT.) Pieces are made of hardwood and furniture grade plywood. Make the body and head of mat man with wood pieces for capital letters and the blue mat. You can make one of each capital letter with this 11 piece set of wood pieces. A picture of the mat man is included.
